Big Business may sell your data in the following format
Mr Incent, age 30, spends $20 at the cafe every Sat,
Mrs Incent, age 40, spends $10 at the cafe every Wednesday
Incent Business Insight will be in the following format
The average weekend patronage of your cafe will be mid 30s Male and your weekday patronage will be Female in their 40s. Male customers spend more over the weekend than female customers during weekdays.
A business may "slice and dice" the data in different ways, but one thing certain is - they will not have access to individual personal information.
